Home ownership continues to be an aspiration for many young adults in the UK, but new research has found that some are not sure whether it will ever be achievable for them.

The latest House Price Index from Halifax has revealed that prices in the final quarter of 2017 (October – December) were 2.7% higher than in the same three months of the previous year.
The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that the average house price in the UK reached £224,000 in October 2017. This is apparently £10,000 higher than in October 2016 and £1,000 lower than last month.
New private tenancy laws are now in force that the Government says will give tenants more security and stability whilst also providing better safeguards for landlords, lenders and investors.
November’s edition of the UK Residential Market Survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) found that the UK housing market has remained flat at a headline level in the run up to Christmas.
